Modern pet care facility exterior

Our Story

Amber Horizons began in 2018 when founder Rachel Donovan noticed a gap in the local pet care market. Too many facilities treated animals like inventory rather than beloved family members. She envisioned something different: a place where pets would receive the same attentive care their owners would provide at home.

Starting with just a small dog walking service, the business grew steadily through word of mouth. Satisfied clients told their friends, neighbours, and colleagues. Within two years, we expanded into a full-service facility offering grooming, boarding, and daycare.

Today, our team of twelve dedicated professionals cares for hundreds of animals each month. Despite the growth, our founding principle remains unchanged: every pet deserves kindness, patience, and expert attention.

Our Facility

Located in Sydney's inner suburbs, our purpose-built centre was designed with animal comfort and safety as the primary considerations.

Indoor areas feature climate control, non-slip flooring, and sound-dampening materials to reduce stress. The outdoor zones include shaded play areas, agility equipment, and separate enclosures for different animal sizes and temperaments.

We maintain strict hygiene standards with daily deep cleaning, air filtration systems, and sanitisation protocols between each animal's use of grooming equipment and boarding spaces.
